Transactional Emails

Transactional emails are one-to-one messages triggered by a user’s action. Their purpose is functional, and they deliver essential information the user expects. Examples include

  1. Welcome emails
  2. Order confirmations
  3. Invoice receipts
  4. OTPs and login alerts.

Marketing emails, on the other hand, are one-to-many promotional messages sent to drive engagement, sales, or brand awareness. Examples include newsletters, product announcements, discount campaigns, and onboarding drip sequences.

Marketing emails such as product updates, new service offerings, newsletters etc... are strictly not supported by FlexiPage. We don't provide any mechanism for suppression management or unsubscribe groups.

Is my email transactional?

A simple way to determine whether an email is transactional or marketing is to look at it from the recipient’s perspective. If the recipient should have the option to unsubscribe from that email, then it is considered a marketing email.

For example, when sending emails about new products or service offerings, the recipient must be able to unsubscribe, even if they previously gave explicit consent. These types of messages are promotional in nature and fall under marketing emails.

Examples of transactional emails:

✅ Welcome email
✅ Order confirmation
✅ Receipt for payment
✅ Rating of delivered product
✅ Abandoned cart reminders

Examples of marketing emails. These emails are usually sent in bulk and not supported by FlexiPage.

❌ New product announcements or service offerings
❌ Newsletters
❌ Promotional emails

How FlexiPage ensures deliverability?

Our email infrastructure is built on top of Amazon SES, which provides a reliable and scalable email delivery service. We constantly monitor bounce rates and spam complaints to ensure that our emails reach their intended recipients. Senders with high bounce rates or spam complaints are automatically blocked from sending emails.
